Nassington

Nassington is a popular village located in East Northamptonshire located between Peterborough and Kettering.

Northamptonshire has long been a popular location for development. Located at the ‘crossroads of England‘, it is fast expanding, with major national companies attracted by its central location and local communities growing as people move into the area to work.

The latest report by the Northamptonshire investment promotion agency has stated that the county is required to provide 99,950 new homes by 2021, after a study commissioned by Invest Northamptonshire and Northamptonshire County Council (Northamptonshire Commercial Property and Employment Land Assessment, 2008).

Kettering is said to be within two hours' drive of 75% of the UK's population. Kettering's unemployment rate is amongst the lowest in the UK and has over 80% of its adults in full time employment. It is home to a wide range of companies including Weetabix, Pegasus Software, RCI Europe, Timsons Ltd and Morrisons Distribution as well as Wicksteed Park, the UK’s oldest theme park, which now plays host to one and a quarter million visitors every season. The region is rapidly expanding. In fact, the region is the biggest single growth area of the country outside London. The East Kettering development area covers a massive 300 hectares.

Aston Lloyd’s land lies next to the village of Nassington and is ideal for further development in the area. Value of three bed properties have risen rapidly, reaching £243,000 in March 2010, an increase of 3.4% since February, showing the house price recovery in this region is well underway. As developers look to house the growing population, this area is likely to see a number of new developments.
